Toughened Up

As I was having a closet clean-up during the weekend, I spotted these Oscar de la Renta beauties that I had purchased more than four months ago and had actually never worn until now (!). And I got the most weird feeling, because I can tell you this is not like me at all, as soon as I buy something, especially when I'm as excited about it as I was for these little babies, the first thing that I do is coming up with an outfit around it. So I decided that the next outfit post had to be around them. Now normally, I would style them in a girly outfit - pastels and light colors, maybe with a hint of a retro touch as well. Driven by the rock-chic mood I'm into lately though, I created a kind of 'toughened up lolita' look. Pink and leather, girly and edgy are the main elements of the outfit, which even though are so different, somehow work great together. I just love mixing such different styles right now! Hope you guys like it too :)


Καθώς έκανα ένα καθάρισμα στην ντουλάπα μου το σαββατοκύριακο, βρήκα αυτά τα πανέμορφα Oscar de la Renta που είχα πάρει πάνω από τέσσερις μήνες πριν αλλά δεν τα είχα φορέσει ούτε μια φορά μέχρι τώρα (!). Και ήταν τόσο περίεργο συναίσθημα, γιατί σας το λέω συνήθως δεν είμαι καθόλου έτσι, με το που αγοράζω κάτι, ειδικά κάτι για το οποίο είμαι τόσο ενθουσιασμένη όσο γι'αυτά, αμέσως σχεδιάζω ένα outfit γύρω από αυτό. Γι'αυτό αποφάσισα ότι το επόμενο outfit post πρέπει να είναι σίγουρα γύρω από αυτά. Λοιπόν κανονικά, θα τα φορούσα σε ένα girly outfit - παστέλ και ανοιχτά χρώματα, ίσως και με μια υποψία ρετρό στυλ. Ωστόσο ορμώμενη απ'τη ροκ-σικ διάθεση στην οποία βρίσκομαι τελευταία, δημιούργησα ένα 'ροκ λολίτα' look. Ροζ και δέρμα, κοριτσίστικο και edgy είναι τα κύρια στοιχεία του outfit, τα οποία αν και τόσο διαφορετικά, με κάποιον τρόπο δένουν άψογα μεταξύ τους. Λατρεύω να συνδυάζω τόσο διαφορετικά στυλ αυτή την περίοδο! Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει και εσάς το ίδιο καλοί μου :)
